Open Post: Curiosity

Tress is, as she often is, in her workshop. However, what she is doing in her workshop is not even close to her usual activities.

Instead of her usual array of spores and sprouter's gear, she has found some more standard tools which are sitting on the table next to a rubber mat that is holding... a toaster. She secreted one from a kitchen that isn't particularly used. To the side are a couple books from the library as well as her open notebook.

She turns the toaster upside down and starts undoing some screws on the bottom of the case.

After all, the best way to figure something out is often to gain practical knowledge.

Magnus squirms with the feeling, and laughs. "These are wild," he says.

"I've used them to lift an entire ship."

"Oh, so these get big big."

[sporesprouter]

"Enough spores and enough water, yes. Although I think it may have been the first time anyone had tried that."

[summerdude]

"Oooh, innovator, huh?" Magnus smiles at Tress and starts to extricate his hand from the tentacles, laughing as they tickle him on the withdraw.

"Something like that, I guess. I like to solve problems."

Magnus tilts his head and regards her for a moment. "Yeah," he decides. "Yeah, I can see that."

She looks somewhat curious at that reaction. "Is there a look to problem solving?"

[summerdude]

"More of a vibe than anything," Magnus says. "And you have it."

[sporesprouter]

She laughs. "All right. I'll take it, I think."

[summerdude]

"Good!" Magnus says. "I meant it as a compliment."
